In case you didn’t get to one of the 850 bars nationwide that ran our Title Tweets campaign with AT&T and NCAA, here’s a quick content loop that shows the basic concept of the execution (though obviously no longer pulling real-time content). The DOOH version (shown here, streaming relevantly-tagged Twitter messages and txts sent directly to the screens) was also supported by an extensive online component.

Sure, we have a tutorial up on wiffiti.com… But how great is it when your users start putting up tutorials of their own?
We’re mucho impressed by this screencast by the folks over at NTCGeek. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves… (we’re serious).
The only critique is a slight pronunciation tweak:
Wiffiti = WHY-FEE-TEE (short for ‘wireless graffiti’).

As we head towards the end of the year, it’s always telling to take a peek back on how we self-identified a year ago compared to where we find ourselves today. The most distinct change is the shift from categorizing our platform as location-based to place-based. A slight language tweak, but it represents not only an expansion of the digital out-of-home industry (and, subsequently, a tighter definition of sub-markets), but a clearer definition of our role as a social media distribution platform rather than a location-based service (e.g. FourSquare).
